New SS Rossi 357 with 16 inch barrel

Post by shawn45 »

Got it for my 12 year old and his 8 year old brother loves it to. We shot 150 rounds of 38 spl today breaking it in. My son wants it to be a close range hog gun (50 yards or so) For long range he has his 308.

Nice carbine that will out perform it's size.I like to break my pistols & rifles chambered in pistol calibers with soft lead bullets. To control lead buildup at the end of a range session I will fire the hottest Jacketed hollowpoint load I can in the firearm to blow the excess (for example 357 magnum chambered firearm the hottest expanding copper jacketed 125 grain loded for 1450 fps in 4") Lead out.Sounds like you got a keeper for your sons. :D
