Getting settled in
Majority of boxes are put away, and stuff is where it belongs, well except for the gun room. But we are absolutely loving the new place. We have visitors about every day and evening. These photos were taken from my living room, looking out back.
And I finally have a part of the house that's NOT in the basement for my stuff!
I keep telling her that gobbler is in dangerous territory come next month, but she give me the evil eye. So I guess these birds will be "pets" for now.

Couldn't you talk her into harvesting a few jakes, so he wouldn't have to work so to please the hens? And to help insure a better class of poults!!

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Very nice Ted! It's very easy on the nerves when you don't have neighbors climbing up your azz. Every man needs his "space".
And speaking of space, it looks like you have plenty there...so.......can I come live there?.........I promise, I'll stay in the basement. -------6

Looks like a really nice place. Looks like you have a healthy turkey population there. My wife and I just moved last year to another state and in the country. I love it.

Nice lookin' country Ted. Good for you.
We've got a two hundred acre lot in a hillbilly paradise with a canoe worthy trout stream, plenty of huntin, and wood.
If I ever retire I'd like to build a place there and do like you.

You're welcome any time Six, and you can work off the rent by finishing the work in the basement, if you're good at tile and sheetrock work.

Re: Getting settled in
Where in MO? I spend a lot of time down in the Stover area. In fact I'll be there next week. Three days in St Louis for business and then down to Stover to help move a 150 year old log cabin. Will be filmed by Public TV for a future show.
