Ruger Super Blackhawk .454

Post by Chuck 100 yd »

I picked up my new Ruger five shot Super Blackhawk .454 today. Now ,I own a BUNCH of new model
Ruger revolvers and this one is probably the finest in fit and finish I have seen in many years. The bore is like a mirror with wide groove and narrow land , Ballard style, rifling. The chambers are the smoothest and totally tool mark free that I have ever seen, all external fit and finish is perfect. The only thing I found was the grip panel fit at the joint between the front corners and the rear of the cylinder frame, there is a minor gap that could be adjusted. That is to be expected from machine made grips that come from a vendor. I will be making a custom set for it this fall/ winter .
Ruger, you have outdone my expectations by a wide margin. THANK YOU RUGER!!! :D :D :D

Pictures to come later.
