Having a devil of a time responding to a pm.

Post by Batman1939 »

I've received a personal message and have been trying to respond. After typing in my reply and saving the draft, (I've learned painfully that it's important to save drafts) my message is shown but when I attempt to type the name of a recipient into the "To" line (which shows "none") I don't get the address added--it just keeps the "none".

I'm sure this is a simple "fix"; what am I doing wrong??

Thanks guys.

If replying to an existing PM,the address is already attached. Just type your message and click on send. That is all I ever do.

Read the PM , click on REPLY , type your message , click on SEND.

Post pictures to a PM the same way you do to a thread in the forum.

PLOWBOY
The same way a pic is transferred from a pic host (photobucket, etc, etc) to a discussion thread - copy & paste the pics direct url, enclosed between a square-bracketed [ ] "img" in the leading bracket, and a like square-bracketed [ ] "/img" trailing the direct url.

It should look something like this, before the PM is sent:

(ignore the quotation marks above)

Thanks Guys, that's what I've done in the past. For some reason the reply screen gives an address line with "none" in it. I can't replace the "none" with the correct address. I'll go back to square one and begin again. Obviously, I must be doing something wrong--computers are literal and never make mistakes.
