94 year old Aunt has passed away.

My 94 year old Aunt Vida from Topeka, KS has passed away. Her funeral is scheduled for September 3rd. I have the time off and will be attending. She was a very good pistol shot many years ago. Growing up on a farm was a demanding childhood, and it probably helped make her strong enough to live so long. Her husband passed away less than a year ago. Both were good Christians. Prayers for comfort for her brothers, sister, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren would be appreciated.

Bless your Aunt Vida. That's a lot of years and a lot of memories. My fathers older sister recently passed away last month at 97. Her last 7 or 8 years were hell......

Everyone looks at life from a different angle. If your aunt was doing fine and could take care of herself......that's great. In my aunts case, the nursing home sucked away $600,000 in savings...........then took her home after that. Myself and her only surviving sibling, my uncle, paid for the funeral.---------6
