Was my favorite movie when it came out; I was about 12 yrs old. Alan Ladd was good in it; I never realized he was on the small side for such a tough hombre. Gotta watch out for some of them little guys !!

Sorry guys I just don't get what's so great about it. Maybe at 56 I'm too young to understand. Oh I get the farmers vs cattlemen part, and I did like the speech from the old guy that talked about how the early settlers came in and fought for the land tamed it, and now all the Johnny come latreys show up and say 5hat this parcel of land is now theirs.

Maybe sometime later it'll sink in.

Another one I don't get is that Christmas movie with the BB gun and the leg lamp. Tried for two years to watch and found the first 30 minutes so depressing I quit it. Must not be my time for understanding them.

I watched a Western that I hadn't seen before - Monty Walsh, with Tom Selleck.

I thought it was a pretty decent movie....... one of the villains was toting a Winchester M-1887 lever shotgun.
