What's that funny thing on top of the receiver?

I took my 9422LR and some Yellow Jackets out after Foxes the other night, I got fed up carring the 9422Mag with the funny thing on top of the receiver! I put some CB longs in my pocket in case the Fox dain't show and took two Rabbits and a Rat. Can't say they were all head shot though! But that rifle is a keeper.

Great post Nath. I always love seeing them. I have a question. I have been told by many leather marketeers that European leather is better and more expensive because barbed wire is not used in Europe as it is here, thus putting scratches in the leather that are not fully removed in tanning. I see barbed wire in your pix. Has anyone heard this same thing?

Wow, so many questions :?
These three are for sale in a local butchers, I joint them and they sell pretty quick. It buys a little gas
Bill, my dog is a half breed, Springer x cocker spaniel and is nearly two years old. She will retrieve fox now too.
Steve, I dare 'nt use my 22 around the mother in laws, that would just be to tempting for me
bsaride, whats wrong with eating rat? Also,
do you ride a bsa?
JD45, the scope is only a cheap BSA branded thing, 3-9 with PA. It's ok till darkness falls.
Kimwcook, I have seen black and other cats walk on to there but they tend to not leave!
Dastook, dun no about the leather thing but barb wire is every where over here and thats why I only ware cheap trousers and try my best to leave nothing behind for the crows

You think the picture of the BSA looks nice its even better looking in person. Jims only problem is that it is hard to get castor oil (bean oil) in California. :D

Looking at you rabbits I can smell em frying in the skillet now  Rabbit season isnt for a few more months yet here.

Just a crack at when you brits used Castor oil for engine oil back in WW II. I Once new a guy that used it in his Bug Eye Sprite never did find out where he was getting it from he said it just wouldnt run right using Dino oil.

Oh rite :D
I think they still use it it the methanol fuelled speedway bikes, in the fuell I think. Some use it in twostroke racing events too. Smells nice, reminds me of when I use to run my diesel on veg oil, it makes you feel hungry when you smell it
