OT _Glock no longer imported???????????????????

Post by popeye44 »

Heard or read a rumor that Glock pistols were no longer being imported or Steyr Manlicher because of
sales of their products by the Austrian govt to Iran. Is this true or false? No more Glocks for import
to USA?

I haven't heard such. With Glocks being the #1 US police pistol, it is hard to believe that a cessation of imports wouldn't be reported somewhere. Also, I have heard that that contract twixt Steyr and Iran was mis-represented. It may be that this rumor is based on that mis-representation.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Well if it was true, no biggy - not like we don't have Springfield XD's, S&W M&P's, Kahr's, etc., etc., to choose from.

I've heard some folks calling for a Glock boycott , but nothing about them not being imported anymore.

I agree with Hobie. I think even our dim-witted MSM would pick that one up. After all, they could spin it like "evil gun company, the primary source for American law enforcement, sells handguns to terrorists". I doubt they could resist...

While I have little interest in Glocks or semiautos, I had assumed that Glocks sold in USA were made in a factory located in USA. If this is accurate, Glock would be immune from any federal sanction pertaining to any Austrian sales to Iran.

Crime is way up since cops are shooting bad guys with nines and forties. Ought to go back to 38s, 357s and 45s.

I will admit it! I like levers, 5-screw smiths, 3-screw rugers, and The ugly austrian tupperware known as glocks. Since the winchester 94, K-38's, and XR-3 single sixes are a thing of the past, all I have for modern guns are glocks! :o I do get alot of looks at the range when a G23 is followed by a winchester 92 or 85 though...
Break on through to the other side!!!
