Here in Indiana it seems to start in January. I know it was around this time of year that I found a good pair of antlers just a couple of feet from each other. Others have told me this is the time of year they have also found sheds.

A friend with an Encore in .405 says reformed (blown out) .30-40 brass makes an excellent .405 "Special" loading. I am not sure, but believe he uses regular .405 dies.

Mostly true. However, it is not as simple as it sounds. If it were simply pressure = velocity, a load that stretched a gun to near the point of a blowup might wreck the gun, but it would fire a terribly fast bullet.
