Re: Reloading Brass Shotgun Shells.....My Way
What I really need is a tool for cutting wads. I've got a 12 gauge muzzleloading shotgun that I've hunted with for over 30 years. I use a 3/4" hole punch for making wads from cardboard. Thin cardboard like cereal boxes for the overshot and thick cardboard boxes (with the corrugated inner layer...

Re: Guns For Sale in an Austin Gun Shop.......
Those .454's are nice guns. Do they have the "out of round" chambers like the 45 Colt rifles? SAAMI specs for the 454 call for a tighter chamber than the 45 Colt. Which works out great for 45 Colt case life. The thing with Rossis is to go in prepared to do a little tinkering to get it rig...

Unfortunately, that's how Wal-Mart operates. Their "service" is legendarily bad. They'll let people stand in line for 30 or 40 minutes for their groceries rather than pay one extra cashier when it's busy. It's one of several reasons why I don't shop there anymore. I was in there a while b...

It's been done on Marlins before, but like mentioned above, you'll need lever, lower tang and stock. If you could find someone who has a straight grip and wants a pistol grip to trade the parts out with, it could be done fairly cheap.

Nice rifle. Now you need some more lever guns in 357 to keep it company.
Oh, and if you don't already reload, I'd advise you to get started. 357 rifles are hungrier than a teenage boy with hollow legs. They flat eat up some ammo.

For years black powder was about all I used until I finally decided those new fangled cartridge guns might just catch on. One thing about black powder and pure soft lead. When the powder goes off that soft lead will obdurate, bumping the bullet up in size a little to better match the barrel.
