I don't think the word "evil" as used in the phrase "lesser of two evils" necessarily needs to be taken literally. In this context, it can mean the least undesireable of two undesireable choices. At least that's how I've always looked at it. :wink:

You're way overgunned. How can you call yourself a sportsman? The correct caliber for ants is .0035 at 6K fps, not .35, with a 5K X scope! You must practice until you can consistently achieve .0045 groups. Then you will have joined the ranks of the true ant hunters! :D

I looked at a Puma at Sportsman's Warehouse today and it looked pretty good. Especially for the price. Both the metal and wood looked a whole lot better than Pumas I've seen before.

Although I don't quite get the obsession y'all with pictures of standard guns you have seen before :) For one thing, a wood stock means yours is one of a kind, no two are alike. For another, your photography will be yours and no one else's. So your pictures will be something we've never seen before...

I have an 1894SS. It shoots great, no problems with it except some of the screws in the receiver tend to loosen. Loctite fixes that.
Too modern in appearance? Not to me! :D

If a forcing cone has circular tool marks left from the factory, would it be a good idea to polish those out by hand, or would that need to be done on a machine to preserve concentricity? I have one like that, but not sure if I should mess with it.
