As to the safety issue if the gun aint broke dont fix it. Just only load five beans in the wheel and you should be good. Just my 2cents.

That is what my 20gauge coach gun is for.

Slick dont be to concerned about filling the case with smokeless. I like 8.5-9grns Unique for my standard loads and they shoot just fine. I use 2400 for the heavy hitting loads in my ruggers but you dont really need to load that hot. Your load of Unique should do the job just fine.

I always use ear plugs. What branch of service? It is mandatory to have hearing pro while on a USMC range.

Now its my only lever but I have other rifles for longer shots and small critters.
