Update on Jeffery

My bro-in-law Jeff is finally making some notable improvements. They took him off the respirator yesterday and he is breathing on his own again. His kidneys are working better with each passing day. Today they were talking about getting him up to sit in a chair. Thanks to everyone for your prayers. ...

I prefer the 20". The extra 4 inches won't make much difference in velocity or sighting. At least for me, one of the attractions of these little carbines is their compactness and ease of carry.

45-70 - 330 Lyman HP @1500 fps

356 Win - 180 Speer @2500

Hog vital zone?

I remember seeing a drawing of a hogs vital area some time ago. I think it was something someone posted on the old Leverguns but a quick Google didn't turn up anything. Anybody remember that, or where I can find something similar?

Mine's an old Marlin 60 that my Dad bought for me at an estate sale when I was 9 or 10 years old. It's no one hole shooter, but it has accounted for it's share of bushytails over the years. Especially those early years.

Don't sell the fancy rifle!! Sell your Ruger so you can pay the taxes on the fancy rifle. You can get another Ruger any day. Only problem with that is I would need four or five of those to sell to come up with enough cash. I have a relative that is a CPA, I will talk to her and see what my options ...
