Re: OT-Gunshow report.
Well now, The last time I went to see Sis, I went with B.I.L. and my two nephews to a little show in Lakeview,Ca. Left with around $ 150 in ammunition purchases, that would have cost me $400 ,if all could have been found at local emporiums,or $300 at Gunshows close to home..I do the sell side at 4-6...

I've had an identical rifle for six months or so. Work done by the same smith that's selling the one listed..Jesse normally bores these to .376 or a tad less, and chambers for the "modern"(short) 38/55 brass..This is the 4th rifle rebored by him that I have on hand, which is probably enough...

Depending on Numrich's price for 307 Barrel, and your ability to do the replacement yourself,or find a reasonably priced g'smith that would seem to be the way to go...With an original winnie 307 Barrel on it, value would go up around $200 here, based on the buying/selling I've been involved in the pas...

MM93 has nailed one of the top reasons why "Jack the dog" is such a successful internet gun seller...Accurate descriptions and lengthy record for integrity complete his portfolio..This also results,of course,in his sales rarely ,if ever, going below fair market value,if s/h and transfer fee...

This is a levergun forum,so I'll give short shrift to the most economical way into a 284 W Rifle..(A BOLT GUN) ...Give equal condition a Clip loading Sav.9 (99-C) should sell about equal in one the BLR 284's..the Rotary Mag.99's are beginning to pressure the post 64 Win 88's,and then come the pre-64...

No 25 Rem.Carbines, and if I find one,I may sell one of my rifles..Although I looked so long for a 14 in 25 Rem.that I finally gave in and bought a Stevens 425 in that caliber, then as stated prev.found 2 mds 14's in about six Mo.starting 10/07..I believe the Stevens is actually a lot rarer.. Nate
