At the urologist ...
Heard this for the first time this morning, directed at me. Might as well laugh as cry.
After dismissing his young blonde assistant, the doc said, "Bill, "I'm afraid we'll need to check under the hood and in the trunk."
Oh, the humanity!

Re: At the urologist ...
I'll be praying for you Bill. I got that call from my urologist in the summer of 2002. In the spring of 2003 I went through 9 weeks of radiation. Since then my PSA is always comes back 0.035 or something like that. It was kind of hard to hear him say that I had prostate cancer, but when I turned it over to the LORD I went through it ok. I had a great church family praying for me too.

I've been known to say "well, since we already have the hood up, may as well check the oil while we're here..."
The phrase has pretty universal application regardless of gender.

Once you have a scar "in there" it will need periodic re-reaming...... No personal experience, but what Docs have told me.Bill in Oregon wrote:Ret, a friend had a TURP a year ago and says he can now out-pee a 12-year-old. Of course, we don't want to know much more than this ...

I believe that would be "under the bonnet and in the boot ..."
Re: At the urologist ...
Yes, "boot" IS what I was thinking but obviously didn't type!
