I just started reloading so I have lots of extra stuff right now. I want to have the components on hand so I can shoot for a month or so, that is probably 100 rounds worth. I want to have loads for a couple powders in case I go to the store and they're out of the one I want, I will still have an alt...

So let's push through legislation to allow hunting of eagles, to keep their numbers in check. Wait, they're endangered too! Maybe we should get the cougars to kill the eagles, then when the cougars start killing condors, we can hunt cougars again. I wonder if the eagle is in any danger from eating l...

Great day at the silhouette range
Well, I'm a little psyched because I had my best score at silhouette today, I shot a 37. This was in the pistol cartridge category with my Win 94 Legacy in .357, 24" barrel, tang sight, mild loads using Blue Dot. I think I'm finally getting used to my trigger. Last weekend we had a match and I ...

Swift Riflescopes
Does anybody use Swift scopes? I have a monocular from Swift and it is fine.
But I don't know about scopes. For example, optics might be good but durability lacking.
I read a little on the web, seems like good overall reports.

Isn't the Hornady Leverevolution loaded fairly light like most factory 45-70, because of the possibility of it being used in an old gun?
Some charts I've seen have put the max pressure for 45-70 at 25,000 cup.
If you used both bullets in the identical handload, that's how to test for the pointy tip.

Well, they stopped making the 180 grainer in .358, that was going to be my 35 Remington hunting bullet.
I'm not enthused about the 200 and 220 grainers, I don't really want to deal with the extra length. The 140 grain pistol bullet might work, but I just may go with the 30-30 for hunting from now on.

well I'm adding to my reloading knowledge, last Sunday I fired off my first rounds of .357 using 2400. My first group was a tiny cloverleaf, and it felt just right when I shot it.
