OT - But sure important to me!
I do not have all the information/details yet, but here is what I know from a too short phone call: Alexzander Kenneth Austin Spencer Hurst has just weighed in at 5 1/2 pounds. Mother and son are doing fine - but prayers are still appreciated. "Alex" also has the distinction of being my fi...

Re: OT - !#^&#&@#! Car Dealers....
My little wagon died the other day. Just 184K old and just barely starting to burn oil and the dash catches fire. SO I'm out car shopping. I know exactly what I want, and I know how much I can afford (not much, but not unreasonable... after selling some stuff I can probably get into $...

Re: OT--way off but my niece and gangrene problem
I hesitated to be this far off topic but it's so important to me and family members. My neice was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 12 with pneumonia. For several days it was 50/50 whether she'd survive. Tube down her throat for oxygen, dialysis machine due to her kidneys shutting down and other &qu...

Ha, I could live with 18, that ain`t but another year and a half. As far as drinking, I couldn`t possibly care any less about that - but the thought of being able to buy a six gun in as little as one more year and a half does sound mighty nice. The law is such a strange thing, isn't it? Here in Ind...

Dastook; Did you notice that only whites (Europeans) and Native Americans have fatality figures larger than their percent of population. Why, how can that be? Makes a man feel real good about being made up from a little of each! I do not feel at all confused. The difference was that I am surp...

Your prayers are my pleasure. I know the feeling of having kids move away, and I know it is only reasonable that they take the grandkids with them. At one time only one grandchild lived less that about 575 miles away (3 grandchildren). The other 6 lived in south Florida; IIRC, about 1250 miles away....

Five days out of the week I work for INDOT on a survey crew. I get to work out in God's world and love it. Well, maybe it isn't so fun when the temp is zero or less; but summer will come back! Seven days out of the week I work for Jesus. That is good work (if you can call it work) no matter what the...

Rusty; I have noticed over the years that predatory birds have begun showing up at recent road kills. Here in IN, I used to never see hawks near the roads. 2ndovc, It looks like that barrel is not marked Winchester 94AE. Am I seeing right? My 85 vintage Trapper is marked with the AE after the model number. I like that rifle, let us know how it shoots. Re: Surprise! Another Final Post.
The responses to my tread "Nearly time to take a bow--OUT. Forum is changing. EDITED" has served to illustrate some of what I had attempted to bring light to in my post. People here are not reading the words toward an understanding of others' ideas. Instead, they are gleaning what they wo...

I have heard of doing this for what seems like all my life - or at least from back in the '60's. Have heard several persons tell me the worked pretty good in the slow twist barrels for the .45-70's. Personally, never tried it. Found the 410 difficult enough in a smooth bore. Why make a marginal perf...

First Experience: In early 1970 I had to drive myself over 70 miles to a hospital to get several bullet fragments removed from my head.
