Re: 35 Remington low powered loads
As an old pistol shooter....don't reload an upside down hollow based wadcutter very fast.....It can blow a hole through the center of the slug and lodge in the barrel somewhere and the next one will hit it and RING THE BARREL......caution with one.afish4570

Re: Home made jacketed bullets?
My first exposure to handloading was at my dad's elbow in the 1960s. He CAST his own jacketed revolver bullets in .357 and .44. His process was unique enough that he got it patented (but sadly never brought it to market). He used copper half jackets and zinc base washers to cast pure lead bullets t...

You might try 150 gr. or more cast bullets, home brewed or store boughten. Single loaded hollow based WC loaded hollow base up with a light chg. of bullseye might me neat...Let us know. So that cases don't shrink you can load a light load or two and then switch to a full power load with that case......

Pillar, contrary to most peoples belief the 356 and 35 Rem. are fairly mild in the recoil dept. compared to 3006's especially with the 180 gr. load. I think less meat is lost on the smaller deer cause the bullets don't react as explosively. However the penetration, trajectory and knockdown power are ...
