Re: Why do cars just catch fire on their own...?
Is there that much magnesium used in the BMW's? If so, once that catches, you are so done for. In many meanings of the word. I don't think many civilian fire departments have anything to deal with fires like that, other than back up and contain. Magnesium fire on a Navy ship and we'd try to jettiso...

It's called QC failure. If you want to roll the dice on a rifle and buy a project, get a Rossi level. People get em good, people get em bad. I've seen enough threads on both plus my own experience never to take a chance again. I'm not sure that the "level" makes any difference. Had a frie...

According to the guys that worked at Marlin, Remington pretty much left them alone for 2007. It was the next year, 2008 that Remington started to run things into the ground. 2 minutes isn't much time to completely assemble a lever rifle from a pile of parts and do any needed hand fitting. The last r...

My Navy Arms 1892 was made by Rossi and feeds about everything 357 I put in it. When it was new and clunky, I tried 38s without much luck, but that was over a dozen years ago and a lot of ammo has went through it since then. As much as I like pistol caliber leverguns, I'd go with a 45-70 over a 454. In a lightweight Rossi 92, the recoil of a 454 is impressive to say the least.

The Rossi in 454 is a Model 92 and everyone that I've talked to that has one, swears by it. Although most say that with full 454 loads, it is a little light in weight and has the recoil to prove it.
