Appears to be in his Sunday go to Meeting clothes . Even his chaps are cleaned up , as well as his ride is brushed and trimmed. The hat probably isn't the working hat either , not beat up enough for working head wear.

The one I used to have seemed to be about the same results as my .30.30s . Yes, yours's is set up as should be, but back then I don't think the butt pad was a standard from the factor . I was just this evening looking at the same revolvers you 'are talking about. The 2nd one was built that way by colt in the begining Colt used steel instead of brass from the factory. The first factory ones were all parts guns with the proper design changes to except the case ammo. Interesting note ...
