Re: Point of interest for John Wayne fans

Dennie, I think you are right. I want to say that I read that in one of those Old West shooting magazines (cant remember the name of it). The single action that he wore in Big Jake was his personal one I believe. It had a off yellow/orange colored grips.

Hondo Lane in Rio Lobo

I've watched the movie Rio Lobo numerous times. As I was sitting here watching it this evening in the scene where John Wayne is talking to the Sheriff and the girl comes in trying to get help about a friend that was murdered, if you look at one of the three wanted posters on the wall just inside the...

My main carry gun is a Glock23 usually backed up by an NAA in 22mag. Looking at that Sig 238 it looks like a nice little pistol but after reading some of these responses I might be looking at a 38spl snubbie again.

How many here shoot the 380acp? I swore I would never have a carry gun that was less than 9mm or 38spl unless it was a 22mag. However, I have been thinking about a Walther PPK. It just seems like a classy pistol.

You might want to take a look at the Ruger Compact Magnum. I cant post a link to it right now but it's a nice looking rifle. Blued steel and wood with a 20" barrel. Available in 308. Doesn't have the removable box though if that's what your wanting.

Yes sir they sure did. If I'm not mistaken the first few seasons the rack held what appeared to be 1903 Springfields which almost looked like old drill rifles. It seemed like every time Andy went to grab a gun he seemed to favor that old double barrel shotgun.

I personally prefer a 1:9 twist because in my experience it seems that the 1:9 handles the 52grain to 69grain loads better and since in my area the two most common grains that are available at a cheap price are 55 and 62 grain it works well for me.

Three rounds per target. Then we moved up to the 15 yard line and had to shoot 12 rounds in 30 seconds...

I assure you that the Glock you purchased will not let you down. I would definitely say that it was operator error (negligence) that caused the issue. As someone else said, he should be thankful that the Glock was solid enough that the only damage done was to the pistol and not the shooter. RustyJr
