Re: 336SC Rifling
I have a inclination to old Marlin 336As with Ballard rifling. I have the trifecta being a 30-30, 32 Special, and a 35 Rem. Just today I added an F prefix 336 ADL in 30-30 to my collection. What a sweet looking rifle. I have a couple SCs as well as not everything needs a 24" barrel. Old Marlins...

Re: POLITICS - Why won't somebody call it what it is???
If you deny a morgage to someone with poor credit, they are being opressed and cheated out of the "American Dream."
If you offer this person a morgage that they can't afford, but they accept it anyhow, you are taking advantage of them.
Pick either answer and you loose....

Re: POLITICS - Why won't somebody call it what it is???
I'm no big goverment fan, but the morgage mess was caused by greed and quick buck artists. The Feds deregulated the banking industry thinking that they were mature professionals, capable of following the most basic financial axioms. Clearly their assessment of the situation was wrong. I liken this s...

My 219 Zipper went to the range today
I looked for a nice Marlin 336 219 Zipper for many years, and finally found a nice one a few months back. I formed a batch of cases from once fired Hornady 30-30 cases, trimmed them to length, then annealed the neck and shoulder area. Selected a few loads from various old reloading manuals, and one ...

Is this brass trimmed shorter like the 444 marlin brass, or is it full length?
Thanks!

Browning 65 218 Bee w/ 24" barrel
Just fondled one of these at a local shop. Looked to be a safe queen, in perfect shape except for some stock dings. $800 was the asking price. I was tempted, but didn't take the plunge.

CZ 527 rifles deliver outstanding accuracy, I have several and they all are shooters. The choice between a 527 in 22 Hornet or 221 FB, I'd go with the 221. The 221 brass is stronger, can be formed from 223 cases in a pinch, and can be loaded down to Hornet levels or made to push 40 grain BT well bey...

348 cast bullet shooters, the folks over at castboolits are putting together an order for a custom 225 gr. FN GC 6 cavity mold. The molds are $70 and have about a six month leade time. I purchased a Marlin 336A with 24" barrel in 35 Remington on GunBroker for a cast bullet rifle. Got it for $298, and the condition is pretty good considering it was manufactured in 1951. Rather than having it shipped, I altered a planned trip in the general direction, so that could stop by and ...
