Years ago I was in a gun shop when a young Eurasian lady came in to pick a gun she had ordered-that being a S&W 44 magnum.Had to keep my jaw off the floor.I doubt she was a 100 pounds.Always wonder if it was for her or some lucky young man.

Stopped by one of my haunts the other day on a whim just to look around. They are usually over priced on their surplus firearms so I wasn't expecting much but what they had never left my hand till I handed it over the counter and committed to buy it.It is a Mauser 98 that appears to have been redone ...

The gun of my father's I miss was an old bolt action .22 not even sure of the brand. It had a cocking piece similar to a 1903 Springfield,a finger groove stock,a knurled bolt that held it in the stock and was tube feed.Dad was amazing to me with that rifle but he sent it to be blued and it was stolen...

If a firearm is submitted to the state of California the company pays a big sum to have it tested, doesn't get it's samples back and gets to do it all over again in 5 years.Which make some companies logically think why bother.Robbery at it's high form.

The one I have was tapped on from the muzzle end-pretty healthy steel so it will not be coming off any time soon.As I remember it I had enough fun putting it on but I do like the sight picture.Circle within a circle then the front sight post-lines up pretty quick.
