OT (sorta): any experience with the Stoeger SXS Shotgun?

I'd like to have a light SXS 20ga, and I see Stoeger has the 'Uplander' and 'Uplander Supreme'. These are 'affordable', at least compared to some other brands I've been looking at. Anyone have any feedback regarding their experiences with this brand and model? Thanks! Tristan BTW, it's only 'sorta' ...

I went ahead and used the Lexol, and it made a great difference in the suppleness and feel of the leather; the squeak is gone, and all in all it seems like a new rig now. Thanks for all the feedback - I've enjoyed reading every post! Got a bunch of good ideas to go into the idea book, too! - Tristan

Show this past weekend had primers priced at $40 per K, no exceptions I could find. They were mostly Winchester brand, though I saw a few CCI and some off brand I've never seen before in a white box.

I sure hope that $40 isn't the 'new normal' price.

That 22WMR cylinder is hardly a paperweight. The two single-sixes I've shot were much more accurate shooting the WMR instead of the LR.

The 22WMR turns the little six into a whole different beast.

In our area, when we refer to catshead or cathead biscuits, they're a rolled quick bread that turns out to be about the size of a cat's head. The biscuits that are dropped on the cooking tray are called, curiously enough, 'drop biscuits'.

Just shows some regional differences, I guess.
