Re: Do you own an SKS?

I had one breifly back in the mid 80's. Never liked it, didnt trust it, always felt like the bolt was about to fly back and hit me in the face. Kept it about 2 weeks then got rid of it.

7.5 gr. Unique was a pretty stout load for my pistols, some of the guys at my CAS matches muttered a bit about whacking the steel targets too hard.

I dont know what brand it is, my gunsmith put it on for me. I needed a bit more length of pull, and was never fond of the steel butt, so this solved both problems.

Re: The Trail to Levers

My interest in leverguns was pretty much self taught. My dad never was into hunting or guns, farming was his life and love, no time for anything else. Both my grandpa's were fishermen, and once got together to take me fishing. Greatest day fishing ever, I was like 12 at the time, each had 2 poles, n...

The cost to get into the semi anual gun show here in northcentral Illinois is still $5, has been for as long as I can remember. Last couple years the show has been getting better, still way to many knives n such, but all around still a nice show.

Browning 1886 sights

I have a Browning 1886 SRC that i really like, all except the sights. Does anyone know if the 86 Rifle sights will fit on the carbine? Or any other brand of sights. I like the the buckhorns sights the most, never relly bonded with tangs sights. Thanks.

I have a Winchester 94 Trapper in 45 Colt that is one of my farvorite rifles, goes great with my Ruger Blackhawk. But,,, given a choice, I'd stick with my Rossi 92 in 44-40. The Rossi is just a hair better in accuracy, and just feels better in my hands.
