Re: OT: NRA Junk Mail
I used to be an NRA member, I left them in the early 90's. We didnt see eye to eye and really dont now. I was paying my yearly dues and received way more than what my dues were in unsolicited hats, stickers, glossy flyers and junk mail weekly it seemed. Now some of you are missing the point. You're ...

Re: Say It's Not So
This just happened in SW Oklahoma a couple weeks ago. I live about 6 miles from a town with approximately 600 people in it. Its a small farming/ranching town that literally closes up about 6 or 7 p.m. There is one road going through the middle of town. Nothing open at night. Soldiers from Ft Sill ca...

Re: purpose of ejector collar
Thanks guys, I will try again. I tried assembling it out of the gun and pushing on the ejector with all my force and could not compress it enough. I know the spring goes on first, then the collar but it just wasnt working. Any problems with shortening the collar? And as far as if they are the origin...

Re: purpose of ejector collar
Thanks Griff for the help. This isnt the first 92 I have owned and I have never had a problem putting the things back together. This was a beast of another color though. My ejector has a hump on the end of it and once the lever connecting pin is inserted back through the bolt, the ejector is locked ...

purpose of ejector collar
As the title says, what is the pupose of the ejector collar? I have an older SRC Puma in 357 mag that had a really rough, hard to work action. I took it apart and cleaned up and polished the action. While putting it back together I could not get the bolt to close with the ejector collar in place. On...

Re: Politics - McCain taps AK governor Sarah Palin as VP
I took about a 6 month break from here and went to the Netherlands and Germany. It helps to get the hell out of the US once in awhile. I come back to our sleazy politics and just when I decide to write Benny Hill on my ballot, McCain gets smart. I knew Palin as the Wasilla mayor and voted for her to...

Sixgun, I am a retired Coastie and worked on far too many cases of hunter deaths, espically in Alaska. Guys, make sure your careful when going out. I know there is some serious winter weather hitting parts of the US right now. The door is 18 feet wide and 7 or 8 feet high. The bar has 2 springs on it. On the inside edge of each spring is a round piece of metal that appears to have four evenly spaced holes.
