About fifty years ago I, a GF Marge, my best friend & wife were riding harleys and pulled into a A&W root beer place. We parked in one space. The car hop told us to move our bikes to the back. It struck me wrong and I said lets go Bill. They dont like bikers here, fired up my bike and took o...

Re: Favorite sixgun barrel length?
These are all .44 specials. I have been carrying the top left one the most on trail rides as it is well used and banged up. Saves the safe queens. I had it converted from 38/44 to .44 special many years ago. I found a model 21 barrel (.44 special) and swapped barrels and had the cylinder reamed. The...

Re: Favorite sixgun barrel length?
I am a .44 special fan. If I want to carry a larger caliber in the field it`s now this 4" S&W model 24-3. It`s noticeably lighter and less bulky to pack than the model 29-2 in .44 mag. In the real world it will do the same for me. It has the pencil barrel that is lighter than the straight h...

The purpose of a handgun is for easier packing than carrying a long gun around. I have owned every barrel length. A few 8 3/8" Smiths and own a T/C Contender. I also own a couple 6 1/2" N frame smiths and a 7 1/2" colt SAA. None have been fired in the last 30 years or so! Fine if your...

It looks to be the same size as the first single six`s. My first good handgun was a convertible single six I bought new in 1962. I shot that gun more than most my guns since put together. It was stolen on me years ago. I found this one that looked unfired and snagged it. This one is made about 1957....

I also think that they should have left the barrel blue and just case the frame. This is my favorite smith. A 66-3 3" one of 300 lew horton special. I have had it since about the mid 1990`s. It has all the bells and whistles from the performance center. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l320/fe...

Inquiring minds want to know. Will the bullet keep going forever? Will it ever slow up? Will it have any impact at all if it hits something? Will the object it hit`s just go like a cue ball? Will the bullet orbit or go in a straight line forever? Will the spaceman and rifle go backwards? Have fun!

I have a 357 model 92 Rossi and a 44 mag browning 92. They look identical except for the gold trigger on the browning. I prefer the 357. It`s a sweetheart to shoot and the 44 is a kicker.
