Re: Cast bullet question

I am the one that actually put that gun together. I took the barrel off and sent it to Bowen for the barrel work. I did the rest of the work. It is extremely accurate with a RCBS 45-255-SWC and HS6. Shot loads are very comparable to 2.5" 410 loads. Those grips are American Holly. If you enjoy ...

So I love the unique and I'm looking at a paradox sidearm made by Bowen. (It's in auction so please don't run the price up on me lol) and I have a question. Here is the description: This revolver is a customized Ruger Super Blackhawk. This revolver is designed to shoot shot, round balls, or cast bul...

Re: .380, or .38 Special

With all the recent goings on locally and nationally, I'm rethinking my G42 that I've been comfortable with for a while now. I was wishing I hadn't traded off my G36, so now I am going back to a 45acp, this time in a double stack configuration. I had a G36 a long time ago....absolutely loved it. I ...

Was considering one. They seem to follow closely with WWG. I have handled the trapper in .357 and the Alaskan in same from them, 1892, not 1886. I was looking at that cloner as a truck and companion mate to my 3 inch L frame . The 1886 appeals to me because of the sights as I have problems with the ...

Pics of the 1886 and the model 71. Price is an issue as the Winchester is a bit more than the browning. Note, not drill and tapped. 71 on top, 1886 on bottom, top picture.

So, I'm looking at purchasing either a browning carbine 1886 in 45-70 or a Winchester 71 in .348. Both are in excellent shape. Negatives for both that m looking for are neither is tapped for receiver sights. Hate to say it but I would have to have that done as the sights just don't do it for me anym...

While on a hike along the Bow River. Pair of brothers, 3 years old I'm guessing. Started out about 80 yards and on opposite sides of the Bow River, ended up at about 30 yards on same side.
