Help me understand something fellas. It reminds me of the woman who sued McD's because she spilled hot coffee on herself. Of course, this is the famous example of what many consider a frivolous lawsuit and bogus award. But, that is because the general public has never studied the case. I can almost...

Your wife is absolutely right. I would not hire anyone to do any work on my property who could not show proof of liability coverage plus Worker's Comp coverage for his crew. Cheek weld is more a matter of consistent head position than it is any particular position. But, for most, it is easier to achieve a consistent head position if the cheek is the reference point. Consistent head position is less important with a scope than with iron sights, assuming that the scope is...

There are plenty of good loads out there, and you've already been given some good ideas. I'll add this note about 2400, though. Hot Wild Loads are a thing I avoid in any rifle. But I don't think the takedowns are any weaker in terms of the action than a standard. The "weakness" is in the takedown system. If it is frequently taken down sooner or later the takedown points wear and the barrel/receiver connection gets ...

A single shot requires no crimp; however, some powders will perform better with a crimp. The miiliseconds delay crimping gives to the bullet start allows the powder to combust more efficiently. For instance, I have found that when I use 2400 I get best performance if I apply a firm crimp -- higher a...
