i own both. either should kill anything that walks the planet. you can get the .444 in a lighter rifle. the 45-70 is more powerful, if u feel the extra power is needed. both are short to medium range crushers. depends on what you want. can't go wrong with whatever you choose.

summer carry is the keltec .32 . winter carry is a glock 27, with a model 23, 13 shot mag. dont carry extra ammo. if i was looking for a fight, i'd bring the m4 with 5-40 shot magazines.

always liked the .356 wcf. especially caused it chambered in the model 94 winchester. kind of like a fast handling 30-06 out to 200 yards. i am confident that this combination will stop anything on the north american continent at iron site ranges. only problem the ammo is expensive and hard to find.

i think that you can shoot 38-55's in a bigbore 94 chambered for .375wcf. a little more money, but a nice option to have. perhaps a more knowledgiable levergunner can confirm this.
