Going to see a Single Six with an extra 22Mag cylinder next Tuesday, picture looks great and price is right, so I might just go for it

I took a couple days off to take my new to me 32 SPL for a walk in the woods. I didn't see any buck deer, but I did get to reconnect with a beautiful area.

I wish the article on Unique powder had indicated how many grains of that powder to use in 44-40 with 200 grain cast bullets, when loaded for original 1873 Winchester rifles. I have in the back of my mind that 6 or someone suggested a load that they use in old, vintage 44-40 guns, but can't remembe...

It's not subsonic but my favorite load in my old (1914) Winchester SRC is 9.5gr Unique pushing a gas checked 150gr RCBS projectile. Comes out around 1400fps and is very accurate.
