Re: tortilla press, warning, picture heavy!
Interesting project! However they do tend to use some rather nasty chemicals in the glue of plywood. I would want to have wax paper between the wood and the tortilla if I were to use such a press.

Re: questions for reloaders re newbie's mentor
Reloading is not magic, it's weights and measures and following a recipe. I used the Lee deluxe 4 die carbide set for 45acp and never ever had one malfunction or failure, the post sizing die is the key there. I don't see any reason to NOT use a progressive for pistol unless it's a Lee Pro 1000. Tha...

Thank you very much for your comments! Now that I have had time to think about it a bit more I am less concerned by the progressive press for pistol ammunition as he will have had some experience with rifle on the single stage press by then. So should have the basics down. The 45 ACP issues though s...

Stopped by my favorite gun shop and in the bargain rack there were no less than 3 interesting firearms. None would be interesting to collectors as they are definitely not safe queens. The elephant in the room with all late model 94's is the questions of reliability and build quality of them. Both seemed to be getting rather spotty at best during the last few years of winchester production.
