I cringe at the word "engineering "
I used to work with a very talented fabricator who said often

Thanks to a bit of help from 8ball I spent some time this afternoon loading some 25-35 brass in anticipation of receiving a Remington Model 8 that I purchased a few weeks ago ( long story but not here yet) It seems to me that loading the odd and old calibers is more fun than high volume handgun load...

Winchester help

I just picked up a Winchester 1892 in 218 Bee
The rifle is a shooter, not a collector.
The S/N seems to be in the early 1900's and I believe the 218 Bee came about later, 1930's or so. The barrel is a Winchester Model 65 barrel
Was this a popular conversion at one time?

The less you work brass the better.
If your BLR needs small base dies then so be it but if it does not you are needlessly working your brass excessively.
My Belgium made BLR in 308 works great with reloads using normal dies
