Trapper update, Well two weeks ago I purchase a new "Spike Horn" in .30-30, from a local Dick's Sporting goods location. It's a New Haven, made weapon. It has some very minor wood fit issues but, is a hundred percent otherwise. Kinda dismayed to see only one screw holding on the front sigh...

I have a refinshing question in regaurds to Marlin Stocks
Hi guys, It's been awhile. I have a question I'm looking at refinishing my dinged and scratched wood on a Marlin 336 I bought used about 8 years ago. The question is in regards to the "Marguard" epoxy(?) based finish. Is their anything special in the way of stripping chemicals that'll take...

31rdgross, Welcome to the forum. I'd say; yes you need them both. The 1895 45-70 is a heavy rifle caliber suitable for anything that walks on this continent. But a bit heavy for lighter use. The 1894 in .357 mag is excellent for lighter things up to deer and is a lot easier and less expensive to fe...

Hi guys, I recently had a thread about bullet moulds and that brings another question about leading of the bore. Well it feeds the SWC's, but you can feel the difference between the SWC's and round nose lead.
I am looking for a different style style bullet over the SWC. I'll check out that web site you suggested.

Hi Guys,
I'm in the market for a .38 Caliber (.358) bullet mold with a rounded or semi rounded nose, for the ole' levergun, and the ability to take gas checks. I'd like it to be in the 158Gr to 180gr weight category.
Anybody knows who makes such an animal??? Or who could.
Thanks,

Another thing to consider is it might be BDC'd to 5.56 or 7.62 NATO. That and another thing I notice is a lot of them don't have Parallax compensatation so the dot appears to be on target and you miss!!! That or I'd love to put a ACOG on my .30-30, but the BDC makes it worthless.
