The 94 BB .375 top eject is a really fine and well worked rifle. I had one, but recently sold it, as I found it too tiny - too short LOP and too short-barreled. It found a new home, and the new owner seems to be quite enthusiastic.

Gentlemen, I don't think the friendly suggested H&R is an alternative - it will cost as a used Marlin here. And in that case, I doubtless prefer the Marlin.

There is a gun shop in Germany, which sells this tuning kit. The springs are said to be weaker thus reducing the pull weight. Supposedly the kit is imported from the US. Anyone tried somthing like that?

Win 1886 vs. Marlin 1895
Considering to get me a .45-70 levergun, there is the choice between the Marlin 1895 and the Winchester 1886. The latter is also available in Browning and Pedersoli copies. Surely I would prefer an original 1886, but on this side of the pool they are as common as white ravens. However, there are the...

Two of my rifles are scoped, but I do prefer the iron sights. With the irons, you just fix the target with the eye and put the bead there and pull the trigger without knowing why or when.

A Win 94BB .375W can safely shoot Barnes 255 grs FN with 2050 fps at the muzzle, when loaded with 32 grs Norma 200. (Practically there is no reason to load that hot, but we still do it here, as we have to reach legal requirement of 2000 Joule at 100 meters.)

Castor Oil from the chemistry - cheap and rather efficient. I drench a RCBS lube pad sparely.
Earlier I used the Lee tooth paste or RCBS lubricant. Neither was good enoug, and cases often got stuck in the dies.
