in my limited exeperience I've noticed the smallest group has come with a starting load or close to it, and accuracy is paramount so no hot loads for me.

If it was really rare, Lee would only offer a 2 die set.

You can use 2400, just check the Alliant web site under silhouette loads. I just fired my first 30-30 loads ever, this was a silhouette load also. Went with SR 4759, at 15.0, 15.5, 16.0, and 16.5. Well I just love Remington Green Box ammo in 30-30, 35 Remington, and .357. Too bad I can't afford it. I also really liked the Magtech .357 which has the same specs as Remington, and strikes about the same.

I just tested 10 gr through 12 gr with 180's, and at 10 grains all bullets were touching at 25 yards. The rifle really seemed to "sing" at that level.

12 was max with the 180's, and it was the least accurate.

If you want to go down a little I think you're safe.
