Is the 32-20 a good caliber for chicken. Are you better off with a 60 grain load at 2100 ofr a 115 grain load at 1200 and better penetration?

The tang is a Marbles and it worked out just fine with the factory front. I have since removed it however as I did not like the way it felt to grip with it in place. I went instead with a Smith full buckhorn rear sight which works good for me as a peep type sight.

Yep must have started to D&T the top of the receiver for the Hepburn in 1905 because my 1904 is not. I am now down to either a tang peep, which I find to be uncomfortable to grip or a full buckhorn rear sight. I put a Smith full buckhorn with a flip up ladder on my 1886 and if works kind of okay...

It is an epoxy and a danged hard one at that. I ended up going to a professional furniture refinisher to have it stripped off my 1886 Browning Hi Grade. I know I wiped out the resale value, but this rifle will be with me until I am gone. It is a shooter and I could not stand the look of that finish....

Flat shooting was meant to be a relative term. I understand it will not match any small caliber or for that matter any center fire rifle. I was looking for any actual experience in developing a load that would shoot "flatter" out to say 150 yards.

I am looking for a flat shooting coyote load in 45 Colt. I intend to carry the load in my Model 97 Freedom Arms single action. I know this is not a lever action, but the same load could be used in a 45 colt levergun. Any experience or thoughts are welcome. Thanks.
