Re: Politics & Religion - The double whammy
I'm not sure you are right to say you can't be a pro-choice catholic. You certainly can't be pro-abortion. Biden is making a distinction between what he claims to believe, anti-abortion, and whether the government should decide the issue for everyone who doesn't share his beliefs. As an individual, ...

The 400K retreat sounds bad. It sounds bad when they were doing OK, and it sounds worse now, though it was probably all set up before the roof fell in on them. The ongoing question is who is running AIG now that the government banks it and has some ownership potential there. The Government is now fr...

I like the idea of the 475, but my feeling is that as a pig gun the 45-70 is everything you could ever need. For Africa, and what Turnbull designed his for, I would far rather have the 50 Alaskan, or 50-110. I know that the Alaskan doesn't actually make the ballistic package the dangerous game guys ...

US exec compensation has been crazy for decades. My favorite stat was that in @ the last 10 years exec compensation gobbled up 10 % of the S&P, or dow, forget which. Meaning their options actually paid out 10 percent of the market value to them. But to be real: - Many of the problems like excess...

I was working on some CAD, and so I heard it mostly, and only watched the last few minutes. Do any pivot or engagement points have to be hardened? It could be so for a commercial product where one doesn't know how much use a product will get. One might not need to on a personal loop.

This was proposed but rejected in Ontario, Canada. Many people don't understand what an arbitration is. If you have an arbitration act and the parties to a dispute agree to abide by a set of agreed rules, then the act makes it enforceable under law. It's vaguely similar to agreeing not to charge wit...
