Hey CAS ---Picture of your centerfire single six
Would it be possible for you to post the picture of the single six you had converted to centerfire? The one I'm interested most is the shot of the"plug" that was installed . Thanks

Speaking of holsters
Has anybody dealt with Pale Horse Holster? On their website they state that turnaround time is 8-16 weeks and maybe longer during heavy ordering times. Right now I'm at 7 months  They state that they wont take phone calls asking for due times saying that taking calls would keep them from maki...

First I'm glad you have your rifle back. It's sad that it didn't come out the way you wanted. You gave the smith instruction ,money and time but he didn't do his part :( Now about ejecting live rounds. I have a 50AK built on a Marlin 1895 that has no problem ejecting live rounds using 525grn cast bu...

Unless your decapping Berdan primers with standard dies you have a problem :( Make sure that the decapping pin extends just enough to push out the primer. Your dies should last forever ,don't waste your money on doubles . Buy a good brass tumbler [vibrator] ,making sure your brass is clean will keep...

I agree that shooting someones cattle or wild horses should go to jail. But the message I got from some of the posts are that you better have permission from the rancher to be on the BLM land that he leases. Or else. Isn't it up to the authorities to police the land not the rancher. Why should you e...

Hunting in the west question
Interesting topic from another forum. I understand that cattlemen are able to lease BLM land for grazing rights for their cattle. What is unclear to me is does their lease agreement give them the right to determine who is able to access the leased property. The rancher on the other forum described h...

Someone brought up the wear pattern on the keyboard being a possible liability . Hope yer feeling better Joe. Good thing it didn't get your eye! When I had my 50AK built the gunsmith wouldn't build it without a muzzle break. Lets see a couple of punks get drunk and taunt the tigers at the zoo. Read some stories here that members did when young and foolish, don,t remember anyone being glad they got hurt. I should have been more clear. I own a single six, bought it new in 1979. I carried it on my hip during the hunting season whether for deer or upland game. Basically for a coupe de graus on a wounded deer and the occasional plinking at rocks and such. Now that I have retired I am taking shooting a l...

Knowing that the single six may have problems in the accuracy department. Besides a F.A. what would be a good choice for a stock .22?
