My question to you is WHY? If you can get a Browning 1886, why not convert that (to .45-90) if you must with much less cost. Then you don't take another .348 M71 out of circulation and you get what you want with less cost. I happen to think that a goodly portion of the Browning leverguns are owned ...

Re: BLR Takedown - What would Jeff Cooper say?
As we all know, the leveraction is faster than a bolt gun for repeat shots in the right hands. Not the BLR. Too long of a lever throw. I didn't know that...can the lever be operated in prone position without canting the rifle? Is it any different/better with a short action vs long action or magnum?...

You also need to make sure the washing machine has no detergent residue in it before washing. A few seasons back I recall washing my camo in the uber expensive scent eliminating wash, only to discover the wife had loaded up the fabric softner resivor on the washing machine. Needless to say that my h...

You might also try the fish house located next to the cruse terminals off harbor boulevard down town. The USS Midway is docked right beside the restaurant and is open for tours if you get there early enough. I second 71's Idea about the parking, the trolley is a very convenient way to get to down to...

Exactly how far are you planning to shoot? I have been known to hit the 400 yd gong with this very rifle from time to time. Although this is not my primary long range levergun I thought it would be neat to take it out once and awhile for silhouette. I most likely will leave the ladder set for 150-2...

I didn't see them listed on his website. What's the price on the ladder sight? He does not list them on his website yet. They are $75 shipped or $85 if you want a new front sight as well. 95fan, How low does the peep go? Does it go as low as the notch in the barrel sight? Thanks for the picture, looking forward to a field report... The local Sportsman's Warehouse has a Bisley Hunter in .44 mag that I have been eyeing. I think that if I had one, it would see 10 .44spls for every .44 mag I put through it, but it does hang nicely in the hand. :D I think you should get it. I love mine.
